Data Deletion Instructions
How to have your information removed from JCC Digital, the tools we use to run the church’s own Facebook Pages and YouTube channels.
Last updated: 15 October 2026
JCC Digital is the software the JCC media team uses to publish on the church’s own Facebook Pages and YouTube channels and to look after the comments left there. It never asks you to log in, so there is nothing to disconnect in your Facebook or Google settings. What it holds about you is described in our Privacy Policy: your public display name, the text of your comments on our Pages and channels, where and when they were left, how the tool classified them and what the tool and the team did with them.
How to ask for deletion
- Email info@jccmombasa.org with the subject line Data deletion request.
- Tell us the name you comment under and which Page or channel you commented on. A link to one of your comments helps us find your records faster, but it is not required.
- We will reply within 14 days and confirm in that reply that your records have been removed from JCC Digital.
What deletion covers
- Your comments and your name are removed from the tool’s records: the review log, the review dashboard and its working files.
- Your comments on Facebook or YouTube themselves are not ours to delete. You can remove them from your own account at any time; deleting them there does not remove our record, so please email us if you want both gone.
- We keep a record only where the law requires it, for example the reason an account was blocked on Facebook or YouTube after abuse or a scam. We will tell you if that applies.
