JCC Glass Cathedral
For 10 years JCC (Jesus Celebration Centre) family was involved in our 30,000 seater Sanctuary building project. The task was not easy but God was very faithful. In the month of May 2011 we had two weeks of Praise and Thanksgiving celebrations to thank God for enabling us to finish the Sanctuary building after which we had the Grand Opening of the now christened ‘Glass Cathedral’. This was the greatest day in the History of the Church and people from far and wide came to witness the greatness of our God.
We praised and Worshiped God for the fulfillment of a great dream. God’s glory was evident every one of the 14 days of praise and Worship. 21st May will remain the most memorable day in the lives of many Families whose lives are tightly linked to the project.
It is the day that the floodgates of heaven opened for everyone to partake of God’s provision. His presence was so real and so evident.
takes very seriously the completion of this project for in it lies the greatest investment of the lives of its members and even of others who have been part of the bringing together into reality the vision of this project.
We wish to sincerely thank all the stakeholders and most particularly the members of JCC for the sacrificial giving of their money, time, material and most definitely prayers without which this task would not have been realized. To everyone who gave towards this project, there is an assurance ‘God will Himself build you a house for yourself. Even if you have one, God will give you a better one.
Today as the beauty and splendor of this magnificent Glass Sanctuary towers over most of the tallest buildings in Mombasa, there is no comparison to the capacity it is capable of holding. It has a capacity to hold 30,000 seats.
Truly this is not the work of man. We give all the glory to God as we look forward to accomplishing much greater goals of now bringing the deficit of 20,000 members.
Currently the church has about 10,000 members so to fill the entire cathedral, we need to bring in the deficit. We are however, encouraged to know that he who began a good work in us will be faithful to complete it.
Apart from the challenge of bringing in the remaining members, we still have the finishing touches to contend with. We need bigger and more advanced sound equipment, more seats, Air conditioner due to the high temperatures and sound proofing. This is the last phase of the completion of the task. It is also a good chance for the new members and also those who would have wanted to give and never did or those who are hearing about it for the first time. Every one of us can become a partaker of this project as they give towards the last phase of the project.
