HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Jesus Celebration Centre School of Ministry is Bishop Dr. Wilfred Lai’s vision and dream come true of seeing strong Christian leaders excel in building the Kingdom of God here on earth.
Since it was started, the JCC School of Ministry has trained several hundreds of ministers who have had a great impact in Kenya and other East and Central African nations. The school aims to be beneficial both to the experienced ministers as well as someone preparing to enter the ministry. The men and women joining the school come from every age group, from the youth to the retired. Everyone is at various levels of spiritual growth and therefore, the curriculum is made in such a way as to build a solid foundation as well as to equip and train for full-time ministry. The emphasis is on the practical teaching; however the students have an opportunity to be attached to the various ministries during the school year. The school provides training of ministers from all denominational organizations.
THE VISION OF THE SCHOOL
The vision of JCC School of Ministry is to provide opportunity for intensive preparation for service to those who have a call of God in their life for service in full time ministry. The purpose is to train men and women in true spiritual worship and in the Word of God. We will achieve the purpose by the following means:
- Sound doctrinal teaching based on fundamental Bible concepts.
- Practical ministry training outside the classroom with supervision and accountability.
- By availing nationally and internationally proven ministries to teach in the school.
- Providing opportunities to be involved in the JCC ministries.
THE MISSION OF THE SCHOOL
The very essence of the JCC School of Ministry is captured in its slogan “A Place of Impartation to Change you to Change the World”. Therefore it is not a Bible School, although it trains through sound doctrinal teaching based on the fundamental Bible Concepts, but the emphasis is on “how your life will change” by the power of God. The mission is therefore, to train men and women called to ministry. The mission of the school is also to help develop the God-given ministry potentials of the students. The school is committed to helping the students stir up the supernatural in their lives through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and learn sound balanced doctrine and how to separate truth from error. The aim to be achieved is to have spiritual growth and have the ability to serve God effectively.
